Caitlin Holmes
A seasoned teacher with over thirteen years of professional experience in both private and public institutions, Caitlin Holmes began her career at the Dalton School, where she was the original English teacher and assisted in the early growth of the school. Following her tenure at Dalton, Caitlin taught with the Toronto District School Board, where she acquired qualifications in special education and outdoor education. Caitlin was among those responsible for implementing the OPAL program (i.e. outdoor play and learning) into inner city schools across Toronto and rural communities in Central Ontario. Caitlin holds additional qualifications in mathematics and reading, and is a certified primary specialist. Her signature pedagogical approach centres on student-led inquiry and individualization, the effectiveness of which is not only evident from her provincial test scores, but in her students’ positive and confident growth in their early education journey.
